| Cappy begain her career with German Shepherds in 1956 after receiving a non-registered dog that was given to her as a present. She paid $35 for her first AKC registered German Shepherd, Tucker Hill's Renee of Miramar, UD "Heidi" at the age of six months, . Heidi was the foundation bitch for Tucker Hill Kennels. Cappy's first National "Select" Champion came in 1965, Select CH Ailbob's Arby of Tucker Hill, CDX, who was also the Highest Scoring Champion at that National. Cappy has served on the Board of Directors and as National Obedience chairperson for the German Shepherd Dog Club of America and is responsible for forming the National Obedience Victor/Victrix yearly awards and the Dual Titleholders awards. | ![]() |
![]() | Gloria began showing dogs at the age of 20 after watching CH Arap vom Wallnstienpark win a triple Best in Show weekend in Arizona. She purchased her foundation bitch, Chickwood's Gillie, ROM, for $75 and began breeding and showing Gillie and many of her progeny in Texas. Gloria handled GV CH Covy's Rosemary of Tucker Hill, ROM and GV Schokrest on Parade to their United States Grand Victrix and Grand Victor titles. Gloria is a former Board of Director of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America and co-authored the famous "Red Book", which tabulates the GSDCA Register of Merit and Futurity/Maturity records, with Cappy Pottle and Doris Estabrook. |
